In remote, isolated areas, MAF conducts medical emergency evacuations, supports doctors, teachers, missionaries, relief efforts, community development. MAF serves over 800 Christian and humanitarian organizations worldwide with aviation and communications.
Why do we exist?
The purpose of Mission Aviation Fellowship is to multiply the effectiveness of the Church using aviation and other strategic technologies to reach the world for Christ. MAF flies to some 3,000 grass-and-dirt airstrips and handles more than 6.5 million e-mail messages a month in support of Christian workers around the world. MAF is there because Christ cares.
What have you accomplished?
MAF meets the aviation and electronic communications needs of more than 500 Christian and humanitarian organizations on five continents. In the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch, for example, MAF delivered 160,000 pounds of relief supplies and medicine to the peoples of Honduras and Nicaragua.
