HSF is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education and has proven to be one of America's best educational investments, awarding more than 82,000 scholarships totaling $220 million.

How do you help people in my community?

During its 29-year history, HSF has awarded more than 68,000 scholarships in excess of $144 million to Latinos from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands who have attended more than 1,700 colleges and universities.

Why do you need my support?

Hispanics are the largest minority group and fastest growing segment of the American population, but the current state of Hispanic education is dire:  Hispanics have the highest high school drop out rates at 28%, of any major racial or ethnic group (ages 16-24), compared to 7% for Whites and 13% for African Americans* and just over 11% of Hispanic adults have a bachelor’s degree, compared with 29.4% of non-Hispanic whites**.

HSF consistently receives an “A+” rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy’s Charity Rating & Watchdog Report and for the third consecutive year HSF has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities.
