Environmental law that works for you: community-based education + research on national problems = solutions to protect people and nature. Independent and non-partisan.
How do you help people in my community?
Implementing environmental law requires more than lawyers and government agencies. Broadly based citizen participation is essential to the U.S. system as well as to other democracies. ELI, through its training workshops and publications, helps equip citizens with the tools they need to make a critical difference in the quality of their community and local environment.
Why do you need my support?
Our supporters are essential to the success of the Institute. Unrestricted gifts help to provide ELI with the funds needed to initiate critical new projects when the need is greatest and to bridge specific project grants keeping important programs running. Becoming a part of ELI leverages project support into ongoing, highly responsive programs.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
We encourage donors to keep in touch with what we are doing on the ELI web site. Our Annual Report (posted on the web site) makes complete information available on how ELI funds are spent on our programs.
Can I Volunteer? How?
If you are interested in helping, please contact us and we will connect you with one of the hundreds of local partner organizations we work with who have volunteer opportunities.
