  • What have you accomplished?

The Aerospace Education Foundation is dedicated to the education of America's youth. We accomplish this through a variety of grants and programs that promote education in math and the sciences, as well as by recognizing teachers for their contributions to this great nation.

The Aerospace Education Foundation with USA TODAY Newspaper and local Air Force Association Chapters have teamed together to encourage the skills necessary for success in math and science among the nation's elementary and middle school children. Visions provides each classroom selected with 18 weeks of USA TODAY (30 newspapers) and a teacher' s lesson plan to give children practical examples of science and technology. During the 2000-2001 school year, Visions was in 1,166 classrooms ... 4th through 6th grade ... reaching at least 90,000 students.

Teacher of the Year Award: The Aerospace Education Foundation has selected Christy Garvin as the 16th recipient of the prestigious Christa McAuliffe Memorial Teacher of the Year Award for her outstanding contributions to aerospace education.
