African American Self-Help Foundation

God's love effectively expressed through hot meals, clean water, healthcare, education and vocational training to homeless children worldwide; also providing assistance to qualified single African-American working mothers.

How do you help people in my community?

AASHF provides assistance to qualifying African American single working mothers across the U.S. so that they become independent from tax-supported government assistance programs. This assists all U.S. tax-payers, as well as improving the quality of life within each community.

Why do you need my support?

AASHF needs your support, no matter how small, because it doesn't take much to feed a hungry child in Africa, and often, only a little assistance can help a struggling African American mother buy her next bag of groceries or make that next rent payment. Your gifts help African children, who would otherwise go without, receive food, shelter, health care, and education. AASHF helps people help themselves. Our vision is that those who receive our assistance will soon be in a position to lend a hand to others.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Over 98% of all donations to AASHF go directly to those who need it most. A full financial audit is completed each year and is available upon request. AASHF is proud to be a member of Christian Service Organizations of America.

Can I Volunteer? How?

Pray for us. Support us financially.

AASHF keeps a very small U.S. staff and is unequipped to supervise volunteers. However, if you wish to do something, we suggest you and your friends and associates organize a fundraiser for AASHF to help those who are less fortunate.
