Serving our neighbors in Mexico by providing food, clothing and emergency supplies to the poor and sick, while offering crisis assistance in the wake of natural disasters. A member of Father Joe's Villages.
How do you help people in my community?
Padre Luis Jayme International Outreach partners with public and private agencies in Mexico to ensure supplies reach the most needy – in schools, hospitals and the homes of the poor. Our partners include Casa de los Pobres (House of the Poor), the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Missionaries of Charity and the Sisters of the 11th Hour. We provide opportunities for you to reach out and help our neighbors in Mexico.
Why do you need my support?
Your support can truly make a difference in the lives of our neighbors that need assistance. As you can imagine, to a person trapped in Third World poverty, a $1 gift can provide food, shelter and so much more. No donation is too small for people who have lost everything.
Every donation you make demonstrates you trust us to continue our mission of feeding, clothing, sheltering, educating, and training our neighbors in need. You can take heart that neighbors in need are better off because of your generosity.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
Our overhead is less than 10%, meaning that over $.90 of every dollar goes directly to our programs that assist our neighbors in need, while other non-profits operate on an average of 20-35% overhead. Audits by J.H. Cohn verify this administrative overhead figure and are available upon request.
Can I Volunteer? How?
All of Father Joe's Villages® are looking for volunteers to help us reach the men, women and children who depend on us. Volunteers work side by side with staff to make a difference in the lives of neighbors in need.
Individuals, families, groups and children 10 years and older are welcome.
