Children's Food Fund/World Emergency Relief

You'll "give children a living chance" worldwide, including cancer patients, disaster victims, refugees, orphans and sexually abused children. Your support delivers urgently needed help to youngsters most in need.

How do you help people in my community?

Our domestic focus is the historic and cultural communities of Native Americans, especially those suffering from extreme poverty in the Southwestern U.S.  We also help survivors of major disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the 2007 California Wildfires.

Why do you need my support?

CFF/WER occasionally receives minimal funds from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which we can only use to pay for a portion of overseas shipping costs.  CFF/WER does not receive other USAID grants or resources from other agencies.  We rely on our fundraising programs and the generosity of our donors to continue CFF/WER’s good works.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

For each of the past 12 years, over 96% of CFF/WER’s resources have funded supplies and projects for people in need.  To keep costs low, we solicit donated supplies and normally only pay procurement, shipping and distribution costs.  Occasionally we purchase goods in local markets, especially if local prices are advantages and the supplies are actually available.

CFF/WER is audited by independent accountants and is regulated by nine federal agencies and the Attorneys General in every state.  We have a positive standing with the ECFA, GuideStar and the Wise Giving Alliance (council of Better Business Bureaus).  Our IRS 990s, Annual Reports and Audited Financial Statements are available online and our projects are open for anyone to visit, including the media.

Can I Volunteer? How?

We do not currently have a volunteer program, although we do make occasional exceptions.  We do link with churches to help them expand their own global outreaches.
